A brief history about Cooke Fuels
Cooke Fuels was setup in 1845 when the Thomas brothers, Richard and James, decided to expand their existing business by producing lubricants for the Lancashire weaving industry. Samuel Cooke joined the business in 1868 before taking over the company in 1881, changing the name to Samuel Cooke and co. As the years passed, Cooke became an industrial lubricants business before moving into commercial fuels and home heating oil distribution.
