Founded in 1845, Samuel Cooke & Co (Cooke Fuels) is a long established, independently owned business, which has operated throughout its history from a base in North East Lancashire.

With origins in the Lubricants industry and in particular supplying the local cotton mills, Cooke Fuels have moved with the times. Over the years Cooke Fuels developed a specialist lubricants business before moving into fuel distribution. Through strong relationships with major oil companies a successful fuel cards business grew and was subsequently sold.

The company is currently focused on the sale and distribution of fuel and lubricants from four locations, Barrowford (corporate office), Padiham, Barnsley and Stanlow.

The customer base is varied from domestic and retail through agricultural, industrial and distribution. Cooke Fuels do not just deliver fuel they have an unrivalled expertise and service offer with an industry leading understanding of storage systems, storage regulations and fuel management bringing real savings in costs and efficiency.

The current fleet provides the flexibility necessary to service the customer base with vehicles ranging from ‘baby’ tankers up to 40,000 litre capacity articulated vehicles.
